3D Modeling

First assignment

Second assignment

Third assignment

These images were directly influenced by apartments in China, especially ones from South East China (places in or near Guangzhou). After visiting the places where my parents originated, I was really inspired by their alleys and buildings. Some of the buildings in China have this sort of theme, where one entire building is coated in a solid color. Chinese people also love to dry things out in the open; laundry, herbs, meat. There's actually some influences from Brooklyn apartments where I live too(it's hard to avoid since I see them everyday). Also, if you notice in the first image, there's a grill on the roof--I was craving for hot dogs and really wanted some barbecued ones so I made one in Maya... I still want a grill and really crave grilled hot dogs!

Your third assignment is amazing, I love the work you did there!! What program do you use? I fooled with Bryce and Poser back in the day, but everything I made was admittedly poor :P

Still, it inspires me to get back into drawing!!

I used the program Maya. I have to admit it's a confusing program but it's great for simple modeling! You should get back to drawing, your stories are so amusing and funny!! XD
